the sabbath day was come,
he began to teach in the
synagogue; and many hear
ing him were astonished,
saying. From whence hath
this man these things? and
what wisdom is this which
is given unto him, that even
such mighty works are
wrought by his hands? Is
not this the carpenter, the

In our discussion “Pre
paring to make Disciples’’
you have got to give ALL
your cares to God. There
are several steps in making
a disciple and things that
you have to do every day to
strive for that goal. In 1st
Peter Verse 7 & 8, it said
“Casting all your care upon
Him, for God cares for
you. Be strong and vigilant
because the devil is seek
ing who may devour.’’ In
Psalms 23, “The Lord is
my shepherd, I lack noth
ing.’’ In Titus 2:1, “Speak
thou things which become
sound doctrine.’’ Luke 15
talks about the parable
of the lost sheep and the
woman that lost a piece
of silver. After they found
the lost sheep and piece of
silver, they rejoiced with
friends and neighbors. The
angles in heaven rejoice
when one sinner returns
to God, we should rejoice
with them too. There is
absolutely nothing God
are not his sisters here
with us? And they were
offended at him. But Jesus
said unto them, A prophet
is not without honour, but
in his own country, and
among his own kin, and
in his own house. And he
could there do no mighty
work, save that he laid his
hands upon a few sick folk,
and healed them. And he
marvelled because of their
unbelief. And he went
round about the villages,
teaching.
And he called unto him
the twelve, and began to
send them forth by two and
does not know about you.
God knows the headaches
and the heartaches you
have been through and
cares about all of them;
He is just waiting for you
to talk to Him about them.
One of the key elements to
anything in life is “com
munication’’, without that,
no one knows what to
do. When you give your
cares to God, leave them
with Him and trust God
to work it out. You have
got to be careful with what
you see - it is your eyes to
your soul. The men of the
church has a job to do, live
holy every day, we have
to be patient in the deci
sions we make, be sober,
make decisions spiritually
and not what just would
benefit them or a friend but
what God wants for their
life. We need to teach the
younger men and boys on
how to treat a woman and
young girls, show love and
compassion to those who
need love and compassion.
The women of church are
two; and gave them power
over unclean spirits; And
commanded them that they
should take nothing for
their journey, save a staff
only; no scrip, no bread, no
money in their purse; But
be shod with sandals; and
not put on two coats. And
he said unto them. In what
place soever ye enter into
an house, there abide till
ye depart from that place.
And whosoever shall not
receive you, nor hear you,
when ye depart thence,
shake off the dust under
your feet for a testimony
against them. Verily I say
unto you. It shall be more
tolerable for Sodom and
Gomorrha in the day of
judgment, than for that
city. And they went out.
Disciples
to live holy, teach young
women and girls how
to dress modestly, teach
young women and girls
how to act and live. There
are people making life
changing decisions based
upon what you do and don’t
do every day. Live the life
that promotes love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control.
People are very important
to God! When someone
leaves your church, it is
your job to call, visit, or

ing a doctor is important if
pain persists or interferes
with day-to-day activities.
Treatment will likely
include several weeks of
physical therapy to help
heal the injury, improve
flexibility of the rotator
cuff and shoulder muscles
and increase strength. A
doctor also might rec-
and preached that men
should repent. And they
cast out many devils, and
anointed with oil many
that were sick, and healed
them.
And king Herod heard
of him; (for his name was
spread abroad;) and he
said. That John the Baptist
was risen from the dead,
and therefore mighty
works do shew forth them
selves in him. Others said.
That it is Elias. And others
said, That it is a prophet, or
as one of the prophets.

check on them. There are
people that have left the
church that were jewels and
because someone got their
feeling hurt they decided
to move on. It is time that
we as Christians and adults
agree to disagree, move on
and help build the kingdom
of God as no one wants
to leave family or friends
behind to burn in hell. My
prayer this week for you is;
“That God show and teach
you about the 9 gifts of
the Holy Spirit (love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness,

Minor surgery might be
indicated when the pain is
related to a bone spur or
calcium deposits pinching
a tendon. Large tears in
the muscle can be repaired
surgically, too. Patients
typically need four to six
months of rehabilitation to
restore shoulder function.
It’s Thanksgiving 2010!
I just got used to writ
ing “2010” on my checks
and now it’s almost time
to relearn another new
year. Wow. 2010 has been,
well, unusual. Different.
Unique. It’s the year of
the “Great Recession”,
the tsunami that has
wiped out thousands and
affected every person on
the planet. In every way,
in every area, we have all
been affected. Readers
here DO know that money
isn’t everything though,
correct? Of course, like
one old sage said, “It’s not
#1 on the list but it ain’t #3
either!”
If you’re reading this,
you’ve survived it. You’ve
lived. You’ve learned.
You’re going to make it.
If you’re like me, it’ll help
you to start counting the
things that you have to
be thankful for instead of
focusing on the things you
might have left behind in
2010.
• Family. Wonderful,
loving, dysfunctional,
amazing family. Hey,
every family is dysfunc
tional. Some more than
others, sure, but every
family has issues that they
have to deal with. It’s part
of your family DNA and
boy, it makes for some
great stories, doesn’t it?
• A job. Income. It’s
great, isn’t it? My job isn’t
my dream job nor does it
bring me the income that
I’d like, but it’s better than
being without one. Some
of you may not have one
now, but it’s coming. Keep
hunting. Keep searching.
Good things are gonna
happen.
• Health. It’s great to
be alive! Every day is a
“thanksgiving” day if
your mindset is in the
right place. There ain’t no
guarantees in this thing
called “life”. Here today,
gone tomorrow, is the
old saying, and boy is it
true. Most people wish for
something better in their
health - a few less pounds,
less pain, less illness, etc.
- but if you’re alive, you’re
blessed.
• Church. You do go to
church, right? If you don’t
you’re robbing yourself of
one of the greatest gifts
that God has given us.
Becoming part of a church
family increases your joys
and softens your sorrows.
It increases your spiritual
strength and sustains you
during tough times. Sure,
every church isn’t a great
one. People sometimes
hurt people - that’s part
of living. Just because you
had a bad experience in
one church doesn’t mean
that you should stop look
ing for a good one. There
are GREAT churches
waiting on you to discover
them. I know, I belong to
one of them. Our church
family is an incredible,
loving, supportive and
amazing group of people.
You’re invited to come
check us out - what is
stopping you?
• God. Where would
we be without God? He’s
not my crutch. He’s my
oxygen. He’s my reason
for living and for loving.
Without Him, the Gary
you know wouldn’t exist.
What does your list look
like?
