67th Wedding Anniversary
James T. (J.T.) and Bernice Sanderson
Reynolds celebrated their 67th Wedding
Anniversary on Nov. 20. They both reside at
Palmyra Nursing Home in Albany. They have
one daughter, two grandchildren, six great
grandchildren and three sisters.
Generosity, Thoughtfulness
is Evident!
Special to the Ledger
Perhaps people sense the
need this year, or folks are
just reaching out to their
neighbors. Whatever the
case, the Southwest Geor
gia Farm Credit Second
Annual Coat & Blanket
Drive is in full swing, and
our communities have
responded in the most
generous ways. Throughout
the Association’s territory,
our branch employees have
partnered with area busi
nesses and organizations
to collect gently used coats
and blankets, scarves, hats
and mittens.
There is still time to go
through your closets and
get donations to a drop
off point. Our gratitude to
Dawson Cleaners, who is
donating the cost and labor
involved with cleaning all
of the items. The Terrell
County Family Connection
is coordinating distribution
of the cleaned items.
Donations can be dropped
off at the following loca
tions:
• Southwest Georgia Farm
Credit - 937 Forrester
Drive, SE, Dawson
• Dawson Cleaners - 423
South Main Street, Ste. 103,
Dawson
• Terrell County Family
Connection - 211 West Lee
Street, Dawson
New or gently used coats,
jackets, and blankets are
recommended. We would
appreciate it if mittens/
gloves and hats are new.

Little Miss South Georgia
Pageants January 8th
Congrats to Buster Posey on Championship and
Rookie of the Year, way to go.
Congratulations to the LCHS teacher who has
put up a Christmas tree and Bible verses in her
classroom! If only more teachers would have the
courage to be a witness to those unfortunate
ones who do not know our God.
Whoever is leading the few that want to con
solidate, forget it and the little group that wants
to incorporate Century, know that we do not want
to pay additional taxes.
Will the high school plays become cleaner? Not.
We know who is in charge.
Why would anyone vote against extending
SPLOST? It reduces the tax burden on the prop
erty owners.
Share with the needy this holiday season. The
economy is hurting many including people who
have worked all their lives and will work again
when a job becomes available.
It seems as though the teachers children
get special treatment. They get placed in the
best classes, are always the first student of
the month and always get a part in school plays.
These children don't have better manners or
behavior than other children.
With this warm weather, I am saving on heating
cost. If only it was not necessary to run the air
conditioning.
Still waiting for the commissioners to share the
marketing plan with the taxpayers. If it is going
to pay for itself, reassure us.
Thanks for sharing the photo of the little deer
hunter. This is one activity that the family can
share together.
Telling our elected officials to “live within
your means" is in the right spirit but a waste of
breath. What we want is for them to live within
OUR means. After all, it is OUR money they
spend so freely.

If the residents in Smithville-Chokee district
are told not to complain about the lack of fire
protection because it was that way when they
moved there. Then what about the people in
Century district? They knew there was no sports
complex when they moved there.
Enjoy the turkey and dressing, then get back on
the diet.
After you eat the Turkey and watch the games
on Thanksgiving Day, come out that night to
Springdale Subdivision off Philema Rd. to see
some of the best Christmas light displays the
area has to offer.
