Georgia Presenters Names New Chairwoman
Special to the Ledger
Georgia Presenters, a
statewide booking consor
tium, is proud to announce
Heather Stanley, Rylander
Theatre Managing Direc
tor, as new chairwoman.
Stanley has been a member
of Georgia Presenters since
2009.
Heather said, “Growing
up in Leesburg, participat
ing in the Summer Youth
Workshops at Theatre Al
bany, and going on to join
the LCHS Drama Club
and Thespian Troup #5297
under Robby Davis obvi
ously made a huge impact
on my career path. I started
participating at Theatre
Albany when I was 8 years
old and as soon as I en
tered high school I began
auditioning for plays. I
never missed an audition
and even if I wasn’t cast
in the show I worked tech
backstage. I always knew
I wanted to do something
involving theatre and it
was Mr. Davis who told my
parents I would run a the
atre some day. The com
munity support for the lo
cal theatre productions was
so encouraging and the
work ethic learned during
those weeks and months of
rehearsals greatly prepared
me for the professional
world. I am so incredibly
fortunate to do what I do,
to work my dream job, and
live back in my hometown
close to family. Seeing the
theatre programs in the
Lee County School system
thrive is wonderful and I
hope we can develop and
grow partnerships within
the academic, community
theatre, and professional
presenting organizations in
the Leesburg and Albany
area.’’
Georgia Presenters

possible in 53 venues
across the state by negoti
ating discounted booking

“The works of Geor
gia Presenters and the
Fox Theatre Institute
have been integral to the
Heather
