Green passed away
Wednesday October
26, 2016 at Hospice of
Charleston-Mount Pleas
ant in Charleston, SC.
Funeral services were
held for Mrs. Green on
Tuesday November 1,
2016 at Kimbrell-Stern.
Burial Services followed
the services at Crown
Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Green was born
December 15, 1911 in
Albany, GA to Alexan
der and Daisy Kingsley
and was a graduate of
Albany High School.
She was a member of
First United Method
ist Church of Albany
and was a member of
the Fellowship Sunday
School Class. She taught
a bible study class out
of her home for over 30
years.
Mrs. Green is survived
by her two daughters;
Loretta Robinson of
Hot Springs Village,
AR, and Jane Crates
of Mount Pleasant, SC;
three grandchildren,
Terri (Bob) Ridgeway of
Perryville, AR; Jimmy
Crates of Mount Pleas
ant, SC; Bobby (Jan)
Crates and great grand
son, Robert Crates of
Mount Pleasant, SC; one
niece, Doris Fennimore
of Orlando, FL.
Mrs. Green was pre
ceded in death by her
first husband, Lamar
Parham, second hus
band Ambrose Green, a
sister Clarisse Kingsley
Johnston, and a brother
Wallace Kingsley.

Brooks, 86, of Albany,
passed away early Sun
day morning, October
23, 2016 at Magnolia
Manor Nursing Center in
Americus.
Funeral services were
conducted at 11 a.m.,
Wednesday, October
26, 2016 at Sunnyside
Baptist Church. Pastor
Terry Siniard, Rev. Steve
Brooks and Rev. Bobby
Brooks officiated. The
family had a private in
terment at Andersonville
National Cemetery on
Wednesday afternoon
with military honors.
Born February 19,
1930 in Ashburn, Mr.
Brooks was the son of
the late Robert and Cora
Davis Brooks. He proud
ly served his country and
retired from the United
States Marine Corps.
His service included the
Korean Conflict and the
Vietnam Era. He also
retired from the Marine
Corps Logistics Base
in Albany where he
worked in supply. Mr.
Brooks cherished the
25 plus years of coach
ing and umpiring little
league baseball. He was
a faithful and dedicated
member of Sunnyside
Baptist Church where
it was his great joy to
serve The Lord.
In addition to his
parents, Mr. Brooks was
preceded in death by
his beloved wife, Laura
Lucille Broome Brooks
who passed away on
December 14, 2015.
Survivors include
his sons, Rev. Bobby
and Catrina Brooks of
Leesburg, Rev. Steve
and Suzy Brooks of
Bainbridge and Phil
lip Brooks of Albany;
Howard and his wife,
Pam of Childersburg,
AL. that Mr. and Mrs.
Brooks considered a son;
grandchildren, Matthew,
Nathan, Sarah, Kelly,
Kaycee, Kevin, Brit
tany, Katy and Caleb
and great-grandchildren,
Kaitlyn, Luke, Brycen,
Bentley and John Parker.

Mrs. Johnson has
resided in Albany, GA
since 1964. She was a
homemaker and self-
employed cosmetologist
and was a member of
First Free Will Baptist
Church where she had
been active in teach
ing children’s Sunday
School, the K & K
Sunday School Class and
the Hospitality Commit
tee. She was preceded
in death by her parents,
T.W. Burt and Dorothy
Anderson Burt.
Survivors include her
husband, Richard B.
Johnson of Albany, GA,
a daughter and her hus
band, Shelby and Brent
Langley of Leesburg,
GA, two grandchildren,
Katie Langley and
Blaine Langley, a sister,
Brenda C. and Donald

House.

5:00 p.m.
Born February 25,
1952 in Tifton, Mrs.
McDonald retired from
The Dougherty County
Board of Education as
a school bus driver. She
enjoyed fishing, loved
her family and her dogs.
She was of the Christian
faith.
She was preceded
in death by her father,
Eugene Evans and
daughter, Mellissa Lynn
McDonald.
Survivors include
her husband, Bobby D.
McDonald of Leesburg;

and loved to laugh and
tell jokes. He was of the
Christian faith.

in 1980. He was a master
plumber and inspec
tor and was employed
by KBR Construction
Company for thirty
years. He was a member
of McCormick Lodge
#40 F&AM in Mobile,
AL. Mr. Wilson was
preceded in death by his
parents, Raymond M.
Wilson, Sr. and Rena Lee
Wilson McCree, his step
father, Jack McCree and
his sister, Barbara Kirby
Fricks.

and worked as a server
at Merry Acres. She

survived by her four

OH, John A. Duckworth
III of Greenwood, SC,
Thomas W. Duckworth
of Chillicothe, OH
and Paul J. Duckworth
and his wife, Margaret
of Chillicothe, OH, a

ing Store in Albany. She
enjoyed reading, camp
ing, but most of all she
loved her grand-babies.
She was a member of
Leesburg United Meth
odist Church.
In addition to her par
ents, Mrs. Watson was
preceded in death by her
husband, Thomas Julian
Watson, Sr. who was a
22 year heart transplant
survivor and brother,
Houston Franks.
Survivors include her
children, Tina Watson

GA. and William “Billy”

in Fayetteville, GA. Mr.
Surface had attended

of God. He was preced
ed in death by his father,
Claude E. Surface, Sr.,

75 of Lenoir City, Ten
nessee, passed away
Wednesday, October 26,
2016 . He was born Au
gust 19,1941 in Moult
rie, Georgia. He was the
son of Emmett William
and Carrie Lee (West)
Denham. His forma
tive years were lived in
Leesburg, GA.
Chief Denham served
his country during the
Vietnam War and retired
from active duty in 1988
after 28 years. He was a
lifetime member of the
Air Force Sergeants As
sociation and Veterans of
Foreign Wars. Bradford
was a member of the
American Legion and
the Piney Ruritan Club.
Following his active
military service, he was
employed by the USPS,
Sweetwater, TN, retiring
in 2006 after ten years.
