The purpose of this
program is to recognize
outstanding alumni
who have maintained a
high standard of excel
lence and distinguished
themselves through their
work, personal accom
plishments, or in the lives
Smithville Police Chief
Sammy Stone reports
that the Smithville Police
Department issued 100
citations, 72 warnings
and made seven arrests
from April 18 to May 16,
2022. During that time
period, seven vehicles
were towed.
Smithville police
worked one call in refer
ence to a trailer being in
the middle of the road on
Highway 19. The police
worked an incident in
which an unlicensed
individual was driving
recklessly on Stanton

Street. The police worked
a case on Church Street
where a subject would
not leave another person’s
home on Church Street.
The police responded
to a call where an alarm
was going off on Long
Drive. The officer also
responded to a call where
a power line was down
on Rhodes Street. A
call was responded to
Church Street where an
individual was receiving
threats. The sheriffs of
fice responded to a theft
incident that occurred on
Church Street.
The Smithville Police
responded to Pine Street
where a door was kicked
in and a physical fight oc
curred. A welfare check
was made to a residence

line. An officer respond

involving a stolen fish on
Church Street.
An officer responded to
a motor vehicle accident
on Church Street and to a
deer vehicle accident on
Highway 118. A offi
cer responded to a loud
music case on Pine Street
but the call was unfound
ed. An officer responded
to a fight at Club 118 that
occurred May 13th.
