The Sumter EMC
Foundation recently
awarded Lee County
Education Foundation,
Inc. a grant for $4,500.00
to fund teacher incentive
grants (TIGs) that will
be awarded in the 2022-
2023 school year. The
Lee County Education
Foundation believes that
to advance students, you
must first support and
invest in their educators.
TIGs give teachers the
financial support they
need to create and pursue
innovative and engaging
programs, initiatives and
educational experienc
es to enhance student
learning. The desire is
to create an environment
in every classroom that
engages students in
meaningful ways so they
feel supported, encour
aged and prepared for
post-secondary educa
tion.
