IS OUITF GOSSIPY.
Just listen at the gossip!
Eat him up Tiger!
And climb up a little higher,
You’ll soon be out of reach
No matter how much they preach.
Just listen at the gossipert
Did you ever hear a paper talk!
If so, how dill it sound j
Was it gossipping all around
That there’s a Tiger near town 7
If it was, ’twas gossiping.
Send the first talking paper ’round,
Perhaps “we” ’ll take a big walk:
Hut fear ’twill make laughs or frowns,
While endeavoring to learn to talk.
And, learning gossiping.
Papers neither sitigi laUgh or, talk
or even frown:
They are very peculiar things ;
And often times can’t repent;
Some times they make us laugh,
sometimes they’ll make us frown
But often make us keep silence
while appearing indifferent,
About the gossiping.
Some papers have good hard senee,
But the best only sell for five cents ;
No matter who uses the inks.
Some forget parts of their own last
battle me-thinks:
While thffy’fe out gossiping.
All of this is something very new,
And interesting to only a lew ;
But truth on’.y hurts when its
told to you.
While you are out gossiping.
“Sand!”, Why, what of that?
Did you ever take your stand,
Get behind your hat, and holler at
“Tiger” and find yon were hollering
only through a hat?
And yet’twas only a (fbssfping
“The weather's cool, but the Echo-
will continue warm,”
So wt’ve been told:
Judging from the number of visitors
At a certain neighboring spot )
They’re there all times of o’clock.
But that matters not,
For “there’s” the place to get hot.
Even if while only gossiping.
Cold weather this tiirtCf
But the tiger won’t whine:
See now the Echo is crying,
SiheTl continue trying and crying,
And perhaps gossiping.
Tigers are vicious things;
How vicious they are night.
The most petted ones will often fight.
While others frequently sing,
And listen to the gossiping.
As to duties of officers.
They are not those of advert iseing ;
And care not for mere gossipers;
Their’s are the duties of officers,
But not those of the gossipers.
Home Bern of a neighboring shire ;
Sounds loud, louder and louder:
Crying “Down with petted tiger!”
1 hat’s all this, is it bluffing:
Or is it merely gossiping?
Echoes are peculiar things;
They scold, fuss and fontn;
Raise sand, and get badly fretted,
Because pet tiger’s at hoxwe: :
So straightway goes at gosiipiug. 5
“Sand I” Why what of that,
Did you ever take a stand, get behind
your old fiat
Holler, raise a storm of sand;
And find you were only hollering
And surely only gossiping
In or through your oldest hat?
Sometimes this is gossiping.
There are two kinds oft'gers,
Home ones; and foreign ones.
.Some are wild, some are blind tigers:
And have no regular home,
And go about the gossiper.
Whose home is in the grove:
Where "’tis warm” we’re told.
Hut this may be gossiping.
Some tigers are fighters,
Others are called quieten*:
Some may b** stupefied ;
But none classed as Gossipers.
So, this’s enough on the gossiper:
For it’s a good advertiser,
For its little pet, the poor little tiger;
Hnt this is not free advertiseing
for tigers nor gossipers;
Eor there’s a neighboring gossiper.
Which can do the gossiping
For Echoes, tigers ami all:
Look out ! for tt viscious war;
Such as the gossiper never saw.
Don’t forget to go and gel a shave
and have your hair trimmed while
vou are in Harmony Grove. Mr.
W. D. Pierce or liis assistants at the
“Parlor Barber Shop" will <k s niee
job for you. He guarantees perfect
satisfaction, and his- charges are rea
