Our new Postmaster Mr. R. J-
Dyar took charge of his office or

corner of his cabinet or carriage shop.
This is a nice place for the post
office if a fellow don’t care how he
talks, or 1 f ho intends to go for the
mail for nil of his family, but we can
but say that there are not many of
the lady pat ons of tins office who
cares to go for her letters and Jour
nals. It is such a miserable poor
and inconvenient place for the post
office.
Messrs. J. W and C. B Parker ot
Alto were m our town last Tuesday
and made this office a very pleasant

called Smallpox is now raging in Hab
ersbaiu county and within a few miles
of the county tow n w here the next SO.

all probability have a tendency to

It is therefore ordered that the
March term, ISOB, of Haul court be
held without juries, either grand or
traverse, and transact only such bnsi
ness as may be in that way attendod
to and adjourn, to a future day-, to be
then deignated.
The clerk of said County is directed
to notify all jurors by postal or other
wise, not to attend said court, also
give notice as far as practicable to all
parlies and witwsesc that they will
not be needed for jury cases of anj'
kind and need not attene Court for
that purpose.
The Couit inay he able to render
a number of judgements without a
jury,grant rules to foreclose mortga
ges, cal! the appearance docket and
then adjourn to a day in the future.
The various cases set to be heard at
chambers at and during the said M’eii
term will be heard.
The clerk of said Court is directed
to put this order on his minutes, and
