Rules Governing Merchants'
and Journal’s Contest
I. These prizes arc offered to
any person of good repute in
I Hanks or adjoining counties or
' elsewhere.
The contestants are not re
stricter I as to territory, but are at
liberty to work anywhere and

Each Dollar beyond the tenth
year ill advance, on the same sub

5. Tickets will be given or
voted when money is paid, and
these tickets may be voted at any
time daring the life of the tieket.
The contest on our part is to be
conducted fairly and in good faith
and we expect the same thing on
the part of all the contestants.
(!. No person is limited to vote
for any particular contestant in his
own immediate section; but is left
free to cast his ballot for any con
testant anywhere.
7. No person connected with
this paper may become a contest
ant.

12. In case of a tie in votes of
any two or more contestants—they
will he awarded the prize, on which
they tie and also the prize or prizes
next in order, and these prizes will
lie divided by the eontestants them
selves, and not by us.

of votes marked on the package.

Those desiring to enter this con
test can do so by lioing nominated
by some friend or can send or come
directly to us for receipts. These

The eontest on our part will 1‘
conducted fairly and upon honest
business principals. We will at
all times be just and fair to all.
Notes after being placed in the
Ballot Box cannot be recalled or
transferred to another. Tickets
and coupons that expire are dead
worthless and will not be counted.
No information will be given as to
the standing of contestants except
that published weekly in this paper,
a number if they so desire, or use
name and post oflice address. Kit h

The counting of the votes will bo
in the hands of an accurate, care
ful painstaking committee using an
adding machine when necessary.
Special prizes will be given out
during the contest. The general
prizes will be distributed at the
close. A contestant may win one
special prize and one general prize,
but not two special prizes.
