To Every School Boy
Eijitoh Journai : —Will you
please allow me space in your pa
lter to talk to the school boys for a
few minutes.
Boys, lam only a boy myself,
nineteen summers and have not
had the privilege of going to
school but little, and I feel the
need of an education now at this
early day. The winter term will
soon begin and every boy ought
to go to school, because boys are
boys not men, but boys make men.
The good book tells us to lie
perfect, so let us go to school all
wc possibly can and stndy hard,
so we can learn the lessons our
teachers give us. Because boys
who are not trained to work,
study and be moral will grew up
la/.y, stupid and bad. So while
we are boys we must study our
selves and be perfect as it is al
most impossible to become a per
feet man unless we aie perfect
l>oys.
You lx>ys who are big enough
to go out by yourselves and asso
ciate with other boys, do you
know that when you get together
and use profane language that the
little lK>ys are listening, and that
you will be to blame for their ruin.
Be careful about what you say
or do. Be kind and gentle, ten
der hearted, loving, forgiving one
another, slow to speak, slow to
anger. Work hard and when you
play lie fair and honest, never
naggy, for our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ tells us to “love one
another.” There are many, many,
many wrongs that boys are tempt
ed to engage in that if yielded to
will result in habits that prevent
them from becoming perfeet men.
It is hard for Ijoys to sec the inju
ry that dishonesty and gambling
and disoliedicnce does for them.
Home boys take pleasure in do
ing wrong and leading other Isiys
to do wrong. If you keep compa
ny with them you will very likely
do as they do and get a wrong im
pression of life which will cause
you a hard struggle later on and
also prevent you from living a
real man.
Someone has said a dead fish
can (loat down stream but it takes
a live oue to swim up stream.
Any kind of boy can float down
stream of life and have what they
call a good time—live and die and
never be missed. It takes a boy
with a strong, healthy body, a
sound mind and pure heart and
brave determination to make a
perfect man.

“Clean Up the Bowel* and
Keep Them Clean”
There are many remedies to be
had for constipation, but the diffi
culty is to procure one that arts
without violence. A remedy that
tdoes not perform
b y force what
should be accom
plished by persua
sion is Dr. Miles’
Laxative Tablets.
3i 5* Washington
St., Waco, Tex.,
•'Almost all my
life I have been
troubled with constipation, and liav*
tried many remedies, ell of which
seemed to cause pain without giving
much relief I finally tried Dr. Mil s'
Laxative Tablets and found them ex
cellent. Their action is pleasant and
mild, and their chocolate taste makes
them easy to take. I am more than
glad to recommend them."
"Clean up the bowels and keep
them clean,” is the advice of all
physicians, because they realize the
danger resulting from habitual con
stipation. Do not delay too long,
but begin proper curative measures.
Dr. Miles’ Laxative Tablets area
new remedy for this old complaint,
and a great improvement over the
cathartics you have been using in
the past. They taste like candy
and work like a charm. A trial
will convince you.
Dr. Mile?’ Laxative Tablets are
sold by all druggists, at 25 cents
a box containing 25 doses. If not
found satisfactory after trial, re
turn the box to your druggist and
he will return your money.
