Suffered Twenty-One Years
Finally Found Relief
Having suffered for twenty-one
years with a pain in ray side, I
finally have found relief iu Dr.
Kilmer’s Swamp Hoot. Injections
of morphine were my only relief
for short periods of time. I be
cume so sick that I had to under
go a surgical operation in New
Orleans, which benefited me for
two years. When the same pain I
came back one day 1 w - as so sick ;
that I gave up hopes of living. A
friend advised me to try your
Swamp-Root and I at once com
menced using it. The lirst bottle
did me so much good that I pur
chased two more bottles. I am
now on my second b ittle and am
leeling like anew woman. 1
passed a gravel stone as large as a
big red bean and several small ones.
I have not had the least feeling of
pain since taking your Swamp
Root and I feel it my duty to rec
commend this great medicine to
all suffering humanity, Gratefully
yours,
MRS. JOSEPH CONSTANC E,
Rapides Par. Echo, I,a.
Personally appeared 1 esore me
this 15th day of July, 1911, Mi>.
Joseph Constance, who subscribed
the above statement and made
oath that the si me is true in sub
stance and in fact.

Tinkering God’s Handiwork
Those people who want gover
rnent to mind everybody,s busi
ness for him ought at least to ao
cept the consequences of their
doctrine. They say goverment
does more for pigs than for people,
more for horses and cattle than for
people, more for the tree nursery
than lor the human nursery, it
dot's. It makes the farmer
slaughter diseased pigs and horses
and cattle, and cut down and burn
up orchard trees afflicted with
blight. If it did as much for hu
mans it would prescribe chloro
form for some milliious of chron
ically sick-Americans, and ad
ministering a lethal dose oi laugh
ing gas to paternalists, themselves.
Every human being is so big a
problem that he alone can solve it.
His own father cannot eat for him
or drink for him, or marry for
him, cannot suffer in his stead the
pangs ot cither birth or dissolu
tion. Certainly the the gover
ment could not attend to the job
even so well as the father. Both
the purposes of providence and
the necessities of society ordain
that man shall lie a free agent, his
freedom limited only by his neigh
bor’s. Himself must choose be
tween good and evil. The way to
make him good for nothing is to
rear him as hot house plants or fa<
cattle are reared. The sole busi
ness of goverment is to see that no
body else interferes ei lier to make
or mar. Its vainest task is to
tackle thj! job itself—Editorial
from New York Evening World,
January 25th, 1912.
