We call the attention of merchants to our

ASTONISHING.
While visiting the store of Smith A Traub,
we were surprised.to sec their large stock of
drv goods, clothing, lists Ac., which they arc
offering at actual New York cost. We priced
gome of their goods, niid are astonished at
their low prices. Wo would advise everybody
to call upon them when in town ; and arc sure
von will save a gveat deal of money by buying
now while such an opportunity is otiered.
A Cart to the l*ul»lic.
I desire to .buy, at once, 10,000 bushels of
cotton seed for the cash. Call and get sacks
and twine. Will take seed at W’lugham. I
have also just received another car-load of
nagauo.--- Competition defied. Call and see
mo before purchasing elsewhere. No wagon
gives a better warantee than tlie “Old Hick
ory.”
As I have the largest, safest and only Fire
Proof Warehouse in Bainbridgc I would be
£ least il to have 40,000 bales of cotton to store
iberal cash advances made on consignment.

We copv from an exchange tlie following
♦rilmte to our enterprising merchant, Mr. J.
Bteiningcr: i-
While in the city of oaks, I visited the
mammoth establishment of J. Bteiningcr, tlie
prifice of Bainbridgc merchants. Mr, Stein-
lnger's Flint River Store, is the oldest busi
ness establislmmnt in the city,* and is the
*- best conducted bnsineeg in the town., Just
at this season his store is chuck full of bran
- new fa'l goods. We saw while there,-the finest
and latest.styles of hand-made shoes, derbv
And slouch hats, which sell readily in tho large
-cities for six and four dollars, retailing for
five and three dollars. Mr. Steiningc-r carries
a larger stock of domestics and dress goods
than many blowing jobbing linnets ; he buys
in larger iplantities than any other merchant
of the town, and his enormous run of trade
proves his popularity as ft man and a me- «
cliaut.
