A citizen remarked to the editor of the News a few days ago that he waq going tp vote for “Uncle George” Shep pard, for Sheriff and that he just, sim ply looked like a Sheriff and didn’t seem to be cut out for anything else. A picnic will be given at Carlisle’s old field near the home of A. H. gang ster next turd ay. The schools taught by Miss Nina Lasseter and Etta Gunn will also picnic there and a good time is expected. Everybody invited. Bev. Mr. Walton, Arch t)eacon of the Episcopal Dioceso of Georgia, of Atlanta, was a visitor to the city Mon day afternoon. The purpose of his visit was to meet with the people of that belief here with a view of erecting a chapel here at some future date.
