Sheriff Sheppard accompanied his
charming daughter, Miss Annie, down
to Albany Wednesday, where she will
spend several days with relatives in the
Artesian City for her health.
Roger Burton, who recently moved
here from Waynesboro, and accept
ed a position with A. Roobin & Co.,
and who has been quite sick for several
days, had recovered sufficiently Tues
day to be carried home by his two
brothers, who came hero to wait on
him during his illness.
M. E, Rushin and daughter, Miss
Calla Lilly, went down to Cordele Wed
nesday to Bee her brother, John P.
Lilly, who happened to the misfortune
to get his left leg broken in the game
of ball there that afternoon. His knee
was also dislocated . The hurt is a very
painful one but he is getting along, re
markably well.
