several days ago to go to Meridan,
Miss., to assist in a campmeeting,, was
taken quite sick upon his arrival there

Mr. W. S. Christian, Who was token
quite sick in April last and had to go to
his his home in Lumpkin, Ga„ lias re
turned to the city and resumed his
studies in the Georgia-Alabama Busi
ness College. Mr Christian is a most
excollont young man of fine moral char
acter, and he mode the best record
of any of the students at the college
during the time thnt he was here last
spring. He will graduate in October
and will go at onee to Vienna, Go.,
whore he has a luxurativ'c position
waiting for him as stenographer of the
City court, He is also reading law and
expocts to be admitted to the bar at
the spring term of Dooly county Super

II The object of said incorporation and
the particular business to be carried on,
are to be, to erect and maintain buildings,
to construct tracks for the display of farm,
home and other products, to exhibit same,
to operate tracks, and to exhibit cattle,
horses, animals, fowls of all descriptions,
to own and construct parks, and in gen
eral to own Rnd operate a fair ground
with race tracks, parks, for the purpose
ot racing, exhibiting products of every
description, and conducting sports of
every kind, to buy, sell, rent or lease
horses, cattle, animals towls of every de
scription, to exhibit same under such legal
restrictions and conditions and at such
times, as the corporation, through its
directors, may ace fit, to offer and confer
prizes and awards, and to do all other
and such acts as are usual and incident
to State und County fairs. 1
III The principal grounds and place of
business and office of said corporation,
shall be in the city of Vienna/ Dooly;
County, Georgia, or adjacent to said
municipal corporation, in the County
of Dooly, state of Georgia, but petitioners
declare the right to offer such exhibitions
as herein specified at such other places
as said corporation may Wish.
IV ' The capital stock of said Associa
tion to be actually paid in is TWO
THOUSAND DOLLARS divided into
shares of twenty five dollars each, and
prtitloners ask the privilege ot increasing
same at any time to any amount not
exceeding ten thousand dollars; petition
ers ask that the suosenption to the cap!
tal stock may be paid in any kind of
properly that the corporation is author
ized to deal in. No stock-holders in said
Association shall be hound in hit individ
ual capacity for the contracts or debts of
the Association oeyond the amount of
his unpaid subscription to its capital stock
V Petitioners pray that they may be
granted the right to make all proper rules,
constitution and by-laws and alter,
at pleasure, the same; also t^at they have
the power to elect such directors, officers
and agents as they see fit: The period oi
said incorporation shall be twenty year*,
with the privilege of renewal as provid
ed .by law. Wherefore petitioners pray
that thia petition may be filed and re
corded as provided by law, and when the
same has been published as provided by
the statute tiiat an order may be passed
incorporating petitioners under the
name and style, and for the purpose and
wltlrthe powers heretofore set out.
