S’ McKinzie; All of said county and state, respectfully shows : [I] That a school has been established in said connty known as the HOUSTON HIGH SCHOOL. [II] That they, their associates and successors in offi:e desire to be incor porated as a body politic and corporate under the name and style of the HOUS TON HIGH SCHOOL, and by that name transact all business herein, after prayed for,,make contracts, borrow mon ey, and create such evidences of debt as the corporation may desire, and secure the same by mortgage, deed, deed ot trust, or other securities upon its prop erty or any part thereof, and to have and exercise all such other powers as are specified by the laws of Georgia for corporations of similar cburacter, and as may be necessary to carry out the pur poses of this incorporation. III. The objects of said Incorporation are to be; to enforce good order, receive donations, make purchases, uud effect alienations ol realty or personalty, not for the purposes of trade and profit, but for the purpose of promoting the general design, and looking alter the general interest of said school. IV. The principal,office and school buildings of said incorporation shall be in the town of Arab), Dooly county, Ga. V. Petitioners pray that they may be granted the right to make all proper rules, constitution and by laws, and to alter same at pleasure; also that they have the power to elect all such officers and agents os they see fit. The period of said incorporation shall be twenty year.-, with the privilege of renewal as provided by law. Wherefore, your petitioners pray, after this petition has been filed and recarded by law, and when the same has been pub]islied as provided by the statute, tile granting of an order investing and doming them and their successors in office with the corporate authority and powers aforesaid.
