Hoary Varnadoe, son of the late Chapell Varnadoe, is sick at his home near Mt. Vernon. Revs. J. D, Norris and J. A. Nelson conducted a few days meeting at Mt. Vernon this week. Cobb, a prominent insurance man of Cordele, called in at the News ofHoe while in town Wednesday and re newed ills subscription. W. W. Lane and family are quite aick at tiie home of Judge H. W. Powell near this city. They were on a visit there when taken sick. A year’s subscription to the Naws would be a valuable and a most appre ciated present for you to take home to your family. Messrs. E. T. and A. B. Tippett were in the city Monday, and left a uice ten dollar order for commercial atationery for their branoh store at Seville. Thanks The many friends of Dr. H. A. [II] That ther, their associates and successors in office desire to be incor porated its a body politic and corporate under the name and style of the HOUS TON HIGH SCHOOL, and by that name transact all business herein, after prayed for, make contracts, borrow motl ey, and create such evidences of debt as the corporation may desire, and secure the same by mortgage, deed, deed ol trust,.or other securities upon its prop erty or any part thereof, and to have and exercise all such other powers as are specified by the laws of Georgia for corporations of similar character, and as mar be necessary to carry out the pur poses of this incorporation. ‘ ITI.
