Lasseter will be glad to learn of his recovery from an attack of slow fever. Mr. John Collier, who has been very sick several weeks, is reported to be much better. Mrs. H. W. Powell nnd daughter, Miss Clevie, spent Sunday in the city with her daughter, Mrs. J. G. Lasseter. Mrs. 3. D. Norris’ pet dog "Dandy” found Carl Morgan’s pet rabbit in Rev. Norris’ lot Friday night and killed it, much to the regret of-all concerned. Dr. H. A. Mobley left Monday night for Macon, where he went to attend the Grand Lodge of Masons, whieh is in session there this week. Miss Carrie Woodward left last week fpr Tampa. Fla., where she will spend the Winter with her brother, Mr. D. M. Woodward. Mrs. Williams remained in Minnesota to await his decision. Judge H.W.Powell of this city took in the opening of the legislature last week. Judge Powell worked very hard to have Mitchell elected speaker of the house. Henderson went up to Atlanta Monday afternoon to look after his candidacy for judge of the city court. Mrs. Lewis B Rumph of Marshallville, arrived in tlia city Friday night on a visit to her parents, Bev. and Mm. H. P. Myers. A. E.
