Uncle Charlie Clewis, a wealthy
planter of near Snow, was in town
Thursday. He reports that the new
Methodist church at Snow is about
completed and that the dedication ser
vices will taks place on the 5th Sunday
in this month.

Carl Morgan entertained a number
of his girl and boy friends Friday even-
ing<of lust week at the home of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Morgan,
the occasion being the celebration of
his thirteenth birth-day. The evening
was very pleasantfy spent by the play-
ing of games, etc., after which refresh
ments were served.

of the city, died suddenly Thursday
morning at tl o’clock and was buried
nt Shiloh yesterdny afternoon. He had
a chill Wednesday morning and was
thought to be getting better, when
suddenly lie grew worse nnd expired in
a few minutes. Mr. Christmas is also
very ill. The liereaved family have
the sympathy of their friends. %
