A B., and will leave as soon as his things can be leaded for Mississippi, where he has a large contract of grading to do for a new road. One of the > most progressive and sensible moves the city ;council has ever made was the contracting with the Vienna Cotton Oil Company for • system of electric lights, for the town to displace the gasoline lamps now in use. The Cotton Oil Company are erecting an electric plant for their private use, and while at it they will also put in a system for the town at a reasonable rental.
