Miss Bailie Leonard has returned home to spend the holidays from Lucy Cobb Institute Mrs, Meeks and daughter Miss Meta, left Sunday for Jacksonville, Fla., to spend the holidays. Mr. and Mrsr. G. L. Bush have moved out to their country home a few miles north*east of the city. The city council mot in regulnr ses sion Monday night. No business of any extra importance was transacted. Tlte merchants of Vienna have re. ceived their stock of holiduy goods and the displays are exceedingly nice. The small boy is now in his glory. The roar of the tin horn and the rattle of the drum are heard on all sides. If old Father Weather will just con tinue as he is now, we shall be blessed with glorious weather for the holidays. The. voice of the tin horn is now beginning to be heard in the land which is a tare sign of approaching Christmas. If you can’t come early, come late. My store will be open all day Christ mas day. H. Miss Effie Butler returned Saturday from Milledgeville, where she has been attending the Georgia Normal and In dustrial school this fall. The people of Vienna do not care so much ns to the merit* of the dispute over the crossing between the two rail roads, but they are exceedingly anx ious for'the whole business to be set tled and settled at once, so that this town can begin the enjoyment of her second railroad at the earliest possible moment.
