Lord, of the Western 8eas.
The Hussion press censorship has
forbidden the publication of the
contents of the signals exchanged as
farewell greetings between the Ger
man imperial yacht Hohenzollern
and the Hussion Standard on the
occasion of the recent meeting be
tween the czar and the kaiser.
It has now been ascertained that
the kaiser’s signal ran tnus: “The
lord of the western seas sends a
farewell grecting,to the lord of the
eastern seas.” The czar, in school
girl style, replied, “Eternal friend
ship.” It is not easy to see where
the danger could come in from giv
ing publicity to these high flown
compliments,- hut Bince the Russian
censor has laid them nnder ban
