OBITUARY
Tire, fenny Bowen, the subject of
Legal Advertisements.
this sketch, was born on March 28,1833
and died December 28, 1902.
She had been a member of the Bap
tist church thirteen years and lived a
true Christian life.
She was confined to her bed seven
weeks, and itas warned of death, but
she said she was prepared, and went
peacefully, praying to be token out of
her misery. She told us that all 6he
dreaded was crossing the cold river of
Jonlan.
She leaves three children and thir
teen grand children to mourn her loss.
JwYVe all feel her loss greatly, but we
live hoping wo may meet her In that
world where pain and parting are un
known.
She leaves us a legacy of an. example
of teaching which is far morefvaluablo
than any earthly inheritance.
Words of blessed assurance were
among her last words to her friends.
Thus ended n life of usefulness and
.holiness and heaven Is. no doubt her
borne.
j Je feel sure she was prepared for a
higher life than this and Is now rejoic
ing with the angels.
Oh: for the death of those
Who slumber.in the Lord,
Oht.be like theiismylastrepose;liko
theirs my lest reward. » -
