The highest ambition of the News,
after giving It* readers a good paper,
Is to baud Up Vienna and Dooly coun
ty and bring good people among nt
who will help ut to do it. Dooly it an
unusually large county and great
things are in store for her. We would
like to sue her population increased
within the next decade to twice its
present number*.
Confined in the county Jail here ate
two negroes, Ed/Neely and George
McConnell, charged with rape. They
were arrested in Unadilla Sunday and
brought to Vienna to be placed in
jail. The grand jury will act on the
ease as aeon a* it come* before them,
and until then, or course, nothing will
1 be done.
With her strong force of brainy buff
nett men, Vienna can organise one
of the strongest and moat intelligent
boards of trade in the state. The
bittiness men are possessed of plenty of
brains aod courage, and such qualities
would be of great value to such an
organisation. It teem* to the . Newt
that we are standing in our own light
as long as we fail tq organise a board
of trade. • -
