A special dispatch from Moul

product plant,says: “This plant,
which (list ills spirits of turpi-nt inn,

success as the promoters have ever
claimed for it. The plant has
been a money maker from the
beginning and the stock is not for

It will do any boy good to read
that paragraph and meditate upon
it. Some hoys are so careless in
their wav of doing, and about what
sort of language they use and with
whom they associate, that, to
many people, they are an object
of disappointment mid pit tv.
There was never a truer saying,
perhaps, than this one: “Birds of
a feather will flock together,” and
it is the same way with hoys, the
good, bad and indifferent travel
their way separately; as a general
thing the good goes with the good,
the bad with the had, and the
indifferently good or had with
those of like character. You can

MAKING TREES EAT.
In the Crimea scientists have
been making queer experiments
with fruit trees. Instead of try
ing to increase their growth and
yield by heaping fertilizers around
their roots, they have been cutting
tiny holes into their trunks and
inserting salt of iron in both solid
and liquid form. A11 account of
these curious experiments has been
read before the Imperial Society
recently and it was declared by the
men who have been thus feeding
tjit* trees that the method had
proved itself to he highly success
ful. Photographs were shown of
nine hundred trees that hud been
thus treated, and the pictures
appeared to prove thetruth of the
allegations, for all the trees were
beautiful with foliage and nour
ishing excellently.
