Dr.Miles’Heart Cure and
Nervine Cured Mo.
“It has been five years since I was cured of
heart trouble by your Heart Cure and Nerv
ine, and I am just as sound as a dollar in
that organ today. For several year* I had
been suffering with my heart. Breathing
had become short and difficult at times,
short, sharp pains about the heart, sometimes
accompanied with fluttering would make
me feel faint and languid. 1 We least excite
ment or mental worry would almost unnerve
me. I felt that the trouble was growing
worse all the time, and alter tryii.g many
remedies prescribed by physicians without
obtaining Relief, I was induced to give your
remedies a trial. I was relieved tne second
day, and after taking three or four bottles all
symptoms were removed and have never
snowed signs of returnin'*."—Rev. Geu. W.
Kikacope, Chincoteaguc, va.
There are many symptoms of heart disease,
which so closely resemble those of more com
mon nervous disorders as to frequently mis
lead the attending physician. Often in cases
of heart trouble the stomach, kidneys, liveror
lungs become affected. Again the symptoms
may be those of weakened, nerves, as tired
feeling, sleeplessness, timidity, the patient is
easily excitable and apt to worry without
cause. If you have the least suspicion that
I your heart is weak study your symptoms and

“ Milk augur forms the basis of
baby foods. It is, therefore, a
most necessary product- in thou
sands of households) and it .should
ho ns cheap as possible, for, un
fortunately!, most babies tire born
in poor homos, where the parents
must struggle hard to get sufficient
food of even the poorest quality.
If there is any industry .that
should be fostered and protected,
it is this industry in our homes.
It would certainly seem cruel, al
most inhuman, to legislate to
make the price of baby food
nearly doublo what it should bo
and thus put it out of the reuch
of millions of little unfortunates.
But this is just what our congress
did when it, in .181)7, put a duty
of five cents n pound on sugar of
milk.
“ The Casein Company of Amer
ica not only controls the National
Milk Sugar Company, the princi
pal manufacturer of milk sugar in
this country, but it controls the
milk sugar industry of the’world.
“ It is now selling milk sugar
in this country at 14$ cents and
in Europe at f)$ cents per pound.
It manufactures it here, princi
pally in New York and Illinois,
and exports it *to other parts of
the, world. The difference, in its
foreign and domestic prices is c: -
actly tlie amount of our tariff
duty. The milk-sugar infant gets
its protection at thq oxpen.-v if
the human infant. We nreaucri-
Going human infants on the-idlar

our president is discussing ’ m? •
suicide ’ without suggesting lower
duties on food and clothing, uli
of which vastly increases the’ eo-st
of living and thus starve aud
freeze our little ones and greatly
increase the death rate.
“ Moody’s Manual of Corpora
tion Statistics for. 100!’ tells ur
that the capital stock of the Cas
ein Company of America consists
of $1,009,000 of S'fo cumulative
preferred and #5,600,(XX) of com
mon, and the net earnings in
,;100i-8 were about .f 1,700,000, Th*
total value of our inilk sugar pro
duct probably does not exceed s
.18,000,000. Thus this protected
industry makes a net profit of
more than h'5% on its highly-
watered capital and of perhaps
100% on the sales of its products.
“ President Roosevelt should
stop scolding the fathers nsid
mothers of this country-until hn
lias had a private seance with the
directors of the Casein Company,
and until he has asked Congress
to take the tariff duties -off all
products made by trusts which do
not need protection and which use
it only to unduly increase.the cost
of raising children.
“ Remove the tariff and other
obstructions, Mr. President) and
the race will take care of itself!
