The members of the Educational
Board of the Vienna Public School

with a gigantic task. : It is no small
job to give consideration to more
than two hundred Applications, select
and agree upon si* or more of these
applicants whose! - recommendations
show them to be best fitted to fill the
local need. After careful investiga
tion, Prof. J. M. Richardson has been
selected as superintendent of the
system. Prof. Richardson comes here
from .Sylvester where he has served
in the capacity of Superintendent for
the past five years, prior to this, time
he was engaged in the same work at
Montezuma. He comes highly rec
ommended from both places.
Prof. H. P. Fleming has been olect-
ted principal, trof. Fleming who
has been in charge of the school at
Lilly >is a young man of excellent
character and ability as a school man.

position, having been elected as prin
cipal in the school at Eastman where
Prof. Strozier will serve as superin

On Tuesday evening at tjie same

The deaih of Mrs. Susanne Hamil
ton which occurred-at her home in
COrdele Sunday is sincerely regret
ted in this city, where shd lived for a
number of years and hkd a host of
relatives and friends. Mrs. Hamilton
was die mother of Mr. W. C. Hamil
ton, President of the Bank of Vien
na, and sister of Mrs. Sallie Everetts
and Mrs. BUzabeth McDonald of this
city. The funeral occurred Monday
afternoon at Sunnyside cemetery in
Cordele. Many relatives and friends
