TAKE A LOOK AT YOURSELF
Take a look at yourself—not a slant
at your phiz --
When you gaze at yourself in the
glass,
But a squint at the chap that inside
of you is;
Let a little bit out of the gas.
Take a look at yourself, at the fellow
you are,
Not the fellow that people suppose
Inside of the coat and behind the
cigar,
But the fellow that nobody knows.
Take a look at yourself as you stall
at the desk
Or you rattle around on the road,
When theie’3 no one to hark to the
tale picturesque— ,
How it’s you that must carry the
load.
Home people may think you’re a won
derful one.
From the way that you sorrow and
sob;
But if you were the boss of the busi
ness, my son,
Would you offof'yourself a job?

Macon on business.
Take a look at yourself, not the party
profound
Looking wise as he possibly can,
But the fellow you are when nobody’s
around,
Just a sort of a dub of a man.
When they ask this or that with a
tone of respect,
Then you pucker your brow and
say “Hum.”
If you wanted to get information cor
rect,
Do you think to yourself you
would come? •

to school, —
In later years he will call, himself a
fool,
For when he has a chance at a good
position,
