Potatoes and onions. What a salad

expect company!
If you have a sweet-tooth, pull it.
Try a rye-bread cottage cheese and

your palate a thrill, one you'll proba

A great many'people think that
when fruit is grown success has been
attained; thia is not so. Practically
anybody can grow, good fruit The
profitable production of fruit really
begins with the harvest. Extreme
care ahould be taken in picking the
product. The peach is just as tender
as an egg and "Should be bandied just
os delicately. Careful supervision of
the picking is the duty incumbent up
on every successful fruit producer.
Picking of individuals varies so great
ly that the successful grower watches
carefully the work of the single pick
er, so that the -rough and careless
workman can be eliminated from the
picking aquad. Some pickers will
bruise »nd ruin seventy-five per cent
of the fruit they pull from the tree,
others will only injure five per cent
dr less. It is n business policy to eli
minate the fellow that injures sev-
enty-fivo per cent of thef ruit.
Grading comes next .as an cssen-
tion point in fruit production, ev
ery man’s child is the best looking
and the brightest in the community;
we all know that. Only a fool will
question such a statement. The same
is true with every man’s fruit, and it
is mighty hard for n producer to
throw out fruits that have been grown
on his own trees, especially when
they look good to him and he thinks
there is some possibility of getting
a bit of money out of them. Rigid
grading as to size, color, freedom of
insect injury and disease is essential,
if the producer expects to get a good
price for the product on the market
and establish a reputation- for him
self and his locality.
Packing is another important point
in profit making. A good, clean up-to-
date, new package will move medi
ocre fruit. A dirty container, poorly
tasked will make excellent, first-
class, fruit sell way below the market
price. Small fruit on the bottom
and big fruit on top ia not strict hon
esty, nor does it build up a perma
nent, reliable trade, nor make a rep
utation for the producer or aection.

Still in the mansion bright and fair,
Still in the-mansion bright and fair
Up above the golden stair,
One little voice is singing to me
Yes, I’m waiting and watching for
thee.
Our dear one now has gone to rest,
From pain and sorrow free
The sleeping form so much we love,
No more on earth we’ll see.
With tearful eyes and aching hearts
We speak the last.goodbye,
But soon we’ll meet to never part,
Where pleasures never die.
Myrtle gone. Oh, how we miss her,
Gone to that sweet home on high
There o dwell in peacef orever,
Where we’ll never Bay goodbye.

IN LOVING REMEMBERANCE

We must be submissive to the will of

Myrtle gone. 0, precious darling,
She has passed from sight away.
How we long to go and meet her,
There to spend an endless day.
Myrtle’s gone, that solemn message,
Came to us on that sad day,
When we thought that all was hopeful
Then dear Myrtle passed away.
