Rochelle Chautauqua Opening has Pa-
tiiotic Demonstration.
Rochelle, March.—The initial ses
sion of the Rochelle Chautauqua was
opened hero Monday. Addresses were
delivered by Rev. J. M. Roster and
Dr. Walter M. Lee. Tab subject of
Rev. Foster’s .address was “Patriot
ism,” while Dr. Lee spoke on the “Sins
of the German Autocracy.”
A touching .episode in the program
occuerred when Dr. Lee asked the
large audience to arise while ho gave
to Rev. Foster his hand in expression
of bis love and admiration for him,
because he has sent five children to
fight in the war. Rev. Foster has five
boys in the army. The entire South
Georgia conference of Methodist
have inly fifty sons of ministers in
the army. Mr. Foster furnishes 10
per cent of the total.
