The campaign to raise the $100,- A unique plan .that is meeting with

thoroughly systematic plan of organ
ization has been submitted and this
as far as practical will be used in car
rying forward the work hero and
throughout the county.
Committees ylll be'appointed to
take charge of the work in the various
districts, public meeting will be held
and various other methods to promote
the success of the campaign will be
used. The amount apportioned
Dooly is small in comparison to the
need and importance of the great
w(|rk for which the money is to be us
ed.
With such a well organized force
and so'tesponsivo a people it is safe
to predict that the results of the cam
paign will be highly satisfactory.

this: Every fanner to agree to plant
one acre calling it “The National
Acre” and dedicating it to war serv
ice. The cooperation of every mem
ber of tho household is desired to
meke the special acre a success under
an agreement that the amount realiz
ed therefrom will be invested in War
Saving Stamps. The plan has several

With the final rounding up of the
Bond campaign comes the very satis
factory knowledge that Dooly has
oversubscribed the quota originally
assigned her which was $184,000. All
showing the highly pleasing results
previously mentioned. Some of these
report showing the names of sub
scribers and amounts subscribed are
the districts have sent in creditable Kivcn, others will be published next
reports, which have been compiled,; v/eck.

In the over-state tour to be made by
members of the Georgia State Auto
mobile Association in thc interest of
good roads next week, Vienna is .to
be one of the stopping points. Ac
cording to the schedule the party ii
duo to irrive here about midday. The
local motor club has extended an invi
tation to the party which includes
some of the most distinguished peo
ple in tho state, to bo tho guests of tho
chib at a barbecue dinner. The invi
tation hu been accepted and prepara
tions are under wajr for the enter
tainment of tho visitors.
There will be a short program to be
furnished by visiting speakers and
prominent men of tho town and coun-
ty. * SS9
The meeting will be held in thc
spacious and attractive show room of
tho Ford Garage. The barbecue will
ba served there also.
It is expected that the party will in
clude quite a number of ladies. A
local committee of ladies will help to
receive and entertain these.
Conspicuous among the names that
compose the personnel uf the tour is
that of tho chief executive of State,
Gov. Hugh Dorsey. Mrs. Dorsey will
probably bo in tho party also.
