Judge W. H. Lasseter made a bus iness trip to Fitzgerald yesterday. Mrs. Charlie Morgan, of Fitzgerald is the guest of relatives in the city. Miss Kate Morgan left Sunday night for Washington, D. C. Miss Morgan stood the examination for government service some time ago and recently received notice of her appointment to service. Sergeant Bell, of Camp Wheeler was the recent guest of Miss Audrey New by. Miss Audrey Newby has returned from the State Normal School at Ath ens. If you are going to need a Ford this fall you had better place your’ order now. We have only five undelivered orders at present, will get 6 cars this month, am promised 6 next month. The chances are that we will not be able to get that many during the fall months even with bona fide orders and the Ford Motor Co. informs us that they will not deliver us cars only on bona fide orders and County Demonstrator White has moved his family to Pinehurst. Mr. White formerly lived in Americus, he has been unable to secure a place to live here so decided to locate at Pine hurst where a house was available. Lieut Chas. Morgan is at home from Camp Wheeler on a short fur lough. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. .-Woffard and children are spending some time in Madison. Mrs. J. D. Franklin and children of Tennille, are the guests of Mrs. J. B. Whitehead. means an order signed with a deposit and we are instructed ..to accept these orders with a $25.00 deposit and we are going to deliver these cars in rotation as the orders are accepted. Mr. and Mrs. Davies lived here a number of years ago and have many friends who are glad that they have decided to make this their future home. They have apartments with Mrs. Sallie Everette. Messrs. It will be of interest to the friends of Private Glover Carnes to know that he has recently stood an exami nation in army mechanics in which there were 108 participants, of these three received A-A, the highest mark that could be made, Private Carnes was one of the three.
