Camp Wheeler, Macon, June.—“It
shall be done." <
This is the new creed of the sol
diers of the Dixie Division, promul
gated by the new commander, Major
General Leroy S. Lyons.' The ten
commandments of General Foch have
been printed and distributed through
' the camp. They follow:
“Keep your eyes and ears ready
and yonr mouth at the safety notch,
for it is. yonr soldierly duty to see
land hear clearly, buL as a rale yon
should be heard mainly in the sentry
challenges or the charging cheer.
“Obey orders first, and, if still alive
kick afterward if you have been
wronged.
“Keep, your arms and equipment
clean and in good order; treat your
animals kindly and fairly and your
motor and other machines as though it
belonged to you and was the only one
in the world. Do not waste your am
munition, your gas, your food, your
time, nor your opportunity.
“Never try to fire an empty gun
nor fire at an empty trench, but when
you shoot, shoot to kill and forget
not that at close quarters a bayonet
beats a bullet
“Tell the truth sqnarely, face the
music and take yonr punishment like
a man; for a good soldier won't lie,
doesn’t sulk and is no squealer.
“Be merciful to the women of your
foe and shame them not for yon are
a man; pity and shield the children in
yonr captured territory, for yon were
once a helpless child.
‘ 'Bear in mind that the enemy is
yonr enemy and the enemy of human
ity until he to killed or captured; then
he is yonr 'dead brother or yonr fel
low soldier beaten or ashamed, whom
you should no further humiliate.
“Do your best to keep your head
clear and cool, yonr body clean and
comfortable, and yeur feet in good
condition, for you think with your
head, fight with your body and march
with yonr feet
“Be of good cheer and high cour
age shirk neither work nor danger,
suffen in silence and cheer the com
rade at yQur side with a smile.
“Dread defeat hut not wounds;
fear dishonor, but not death, and die
game.
“Whatever the task, remember the
motto, of; the division, IT SHALL BE

“The Most Beautiful Car
in America"
It seems to us that up to this season tire-buying has
been a gamble—You paid your money—but you didn’t
know what you’d bought until your tire had run its mil
eage. Sometimes you wpn—and sometimes you didn’t.
Goodrich has taken the gamble out of tire buying!
When we sell our customers Goodrich Tires we know
what we’re selling. For Goodrich Tires are Road Test
ed Tires.
Six big fleets of Goodrich Test Cars battered their
way over 1,000,006 miles in 1917—more than 4,000,000
tire miles.
They not only proved beyond doubt that Goodrich
Tirea aa then made had the strength the stamina, the
endurance to roll up big mileage under adverse condi
tions—
.... But they learned new things about tire construc
tion—things embodied now in the tires you buy from
