MRS. HEARD ENTERTAINS
On Thursday afternoon .of last
week Hr*.', J. J. Heard entertained at
an informal knitting party in honor
of her guests. Hiss Marie Ward and
Mrs. Gordon Bums, of Douglas. She
was assisted in entertaining hy Miss
Mary .Burns. The bouse was decorat
ed with sun flowers and senias. The
attractive porch was the scene of the
affair entwined with its natural
growth of shrubbery and growing
plants. The tables were adorned
with summer flowers. Music was en
joyed during the afternoon furnished
by Miss Ward and Mrs. Burns, both
being talented musicians. A delicious
salad and ice course was served.

Joiner, Maude Morgan, Alice Hender
son, Bertha Bullington, Genie Morgan,
