and unexpected warm weather up to
[the latter part of last week has
‘caused the germination of corn
throughout the State, at least a
month earlier than usual, which
ruins it for feeding purposes.” said

State Capitol, after a three weeks’
tour of the State, inspecting the

in Georg'a for feeding purposes.
On this tour of inspection, In
spector Methvin seized corn that
had turned sour, unfitting it for
feeding purposes, in the cities of
Thomasville, Amerlcus, Cordele.
Macon and Atlanta. Practically
every point visited by the inspector
on that tour had In It corn that
was unfit for feeding purposes.

assassinate, and succeeded in ser
iously wounding Enver Bey, the
Young Turk leader.
A wireless dispatch from Con
stantinople says that Enver Bey was
stabbed severely several times, but
the dispatch gave no further de
tails.
Enver Bey last ween made a dis
astrous effort to pierce the flanks of
the Bulgarian army on the shores of
the Sea of Marmora, his troops be
ing beaten back with terrible loseea.
Enver Bey was a ‘prominent mili
tary leader In the war In Tripoli,
and he was called by the European
experts "the best soldier In the
Turkish Army.”

night when a gas tank blew up In
the basement of tue church.

noon, while attempting to hang up a
side of meat on one of the large
hooks In a meat market on Jackson
street, cut a hunk out of hla finger.
In taking hold of the meat, to slip
It through the hook, he got the
sharp point of the iron In the first
finger of his right hand. It gashed
a lar?e piece out, exposing tho bone
for almost an Ineh. He was given
medical attention and will not feel
any serious effects after the healing.

Morgan has been taken suddenly
and seriously ill at Cairo, Egypt, ac
cording to a dispatch from Rome
to the Exchange Telegraph Com

Naples, accompanied by two physi
cians and two nurses.
