Tom came out of the fracaq with a deep stab in the back, just under the shoulder blade, and several smaller cuts on the head. Tom used a flat iron and hit Pearl and Joe on the head a couple of times, but the damage was slight. Pearl also got !cut on the hand, ten stitches being necessary. She was taken to the hospital with Tom Warren. The doctor who attended him, stated that the wound in the back might prove fatal. Joe Alexander is held ln the city barracks, pending the result of the wound. ■Another fracas occurred between two negoes named Taylor and Green. Taylor cut Green in the arm several times. The Sheriff got them both, and Dr Jarrell attended the wound ed man.
