patient should be treated by a com
petent physician. Even in the mil
der rases the patient should go to
bod, as rest is the best possible
treatment for the disease. There is
•no specific remedy for influenza,
''any drugs have been used often
with good effect; at other times
with varying degrees of success, but
those should always he administered
under the direction of a careful
physician. Warm baths are con
sidered helpful, and as a general
rule severe caution is given against
the use of alcoholic stimulants. In
the case of complications arising
from Influenza, such diseases should
be treated in accordance with usual
methods and always under the di
rection of a competent phyelclan.
