Washington, Aug. 5 The bonded -warehouses In various parts ot the United States are fairly bursting with foodstuff, and other merchan dise. This fact was forcibly set forth Is a statement issued today by the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce. The report declares that'goods valued at more than one hundred million dollars, were la these warehouses on June thirtieth, while the amount on the same date last year, was only seven million dol lars. LIND TO GO TO MEXICO (By Associated Press.) . Washington, Aug. 5.—Former Governor Lind, ot Minnesota, is now •n his way to Mexico City, at the direction ot President Wilson. He may take passage from Galveston for Vera Cruse, on the battleship New Hampshire, or one of the ships of the Gulf patrol, If-he desires. The Navy Department has not yet been asked to provide a ship, but It Is pre pared to do so. Lind goes to Mexico without hla credentials, but he will practically exercise the functions of defacto ambassador. Officials here await with keen In terest the tenor of the reception he received when he arrives In the Mex ican capital. II. 5. B.—Approxi mately seventy million feet of Doug las fir and red cedar timber, and two hundred and elghty-slx thousand feet of cedar poles, are offered by the government to the highest bidder. The buyer will be given live years to cut and remove the timber from Olympic National Forest, In the State of Washington. A minimum price has been set by the government, for this timber. The little girl, whom they did not at first believe badly hurt, has a shoulder badly wounded and It may prove a painful and tedious wound to heal. Sisters Getting Along Well Here. The two girls, who were brought here are retting much better this afternoon, and with the care and attention which they will get at the hospital, are expected to Improve rapidly. Their wounds received Im mediate attention and both were In bad shape, puss having formed to an alarming extent In both, and fe ver bad set In. Both had their wounds dressed and drained and are resting much easier this afternoon. The people of the city hare been gen. eroua In their help and the nurses at the hospital have done everything possible for tfiplr, comfort and care. Attorney Luther Rosser continued to ask questions apparently to teet the negro's memory. The witness admitted certain changes in there narratives, hnt he maintained that the story told on the stand was the truth.
