His voyage was successful and filled with most thrill ing events. He was wounded in the shoulder during one of the fights, he says, in writing to a Thom asville friend and many times his party was in most dangerous pre dicaments, only coming out after! the hardest kind of fighting with rebels. The San Diego paper gives the fol lowing account of the return of the party of three: "Bringing a tale of rebel atroci ties from Mexico, J. T. Tyson arrived here a few days ago and registered at the San Diego hotel. In com pany with P. S. Titus and Harry Lord, ho had occasion recently to work through the country along the Mexican west coast and in the neigh borhood of Durango.
