Atlanta, Oct. 1.—A peace treaty- may shortly end the war between the Sovereign States of Georgia and South Carolina. This war was de clared by Governor Cole L. Blease away back yonder when Governor Brown refused to honor his requisi tion tor Tom Felder, and though the warfare has been one of words, with all the talking prii cipally on one side, the hostilities have been none-the-less real. Today, however, the aggressor bus made overtures for peace. Repos ing on Governor Slaton’s office at the capitol is a requisition from Governor Cloe L. Blease—a requisi tion done up in blue ribbon accord ing to Hoyle, and which Governor Slaton will in all probability honor today, upon his return from Nash ville. With this requisition granted, Gov ernor Blease can hardly refuse the next reasonable requisition that comes from this side of the state line, and with that the "ontonto ordiale" may be definitely resumed.
