AND MRS. HAUG GOING ON .SAME TRAIN— GilUEIlS JURY RENDERS VEDBIGT Of SUICIDE At an autopsy held juet a little pant uoon today a bullet was fouud tn the brain of. Miss Dorothy Haug. the girl who was believed murdered ui tho Southern Home early Mon day morning. Tho autopsy was held at the instance of a Pinkerton detect ive. who is in tho city investigating the matter. The ball entered the left temple pursuing a straight spurse through the brain glancing backward where it struck the skull on the right side. It was found there after the skull was especially fond of her because of the great promise of mental at- tailwnent which she believed she pos sessed. Mrs. Haug came to the -South ton her health, being unable to stend the climate and while here took up tho work of delivering the Stod dard lectures. Her daughters came with her to remain here. Mr. Haug was especially devoted to the dead girl and was here to visit thorn at r . one time. They also spent a *hort time with him since coming here. His work demaads^lite presence al-j That a verdict of tne Coroner’s 1 jury in the case of the death of Miss j Dorothy Haug in this city Monday the character of the girl brought tears to the eyes of many of those who attended. After the short talk, "Jesus Pilot Me," was suug after which the ben ediction was spoken and the friends dispersed after looking for the last time upon the face of the girl whoso tragic and mysterious death has brought a pall of sorrow and sad ness wherever It is known. The face was calm and sweet In its white- lined resting place, the mark of the wound being covered with a band age which was placed across the fore head. Resting amid a great abund ance of flowers sent by friends, the face was untroubled and peaceful, without any semblance of the grave j n ar ris and the horrible catastrophe which took - away that young life. Beverly was elected Mayor' of Thomasville last night.
