The Fair is next week.
Bet yon can’t keep a piece of gos
sip to yourself.
That blizzard in the East makes
our twenty eight above look like a
fiery furnace.

The T iracs-Recorder aptly says
that it is better ride a mule than
in an auto, paid for by a mortgage
on the home.
Vincent Astor will soon relinquish
the title of the richest bachelor in
the United States. He will then be a
fairly rich young married man.
Bailey has decided that he wvoul 1
like to he Governor of Texas. But
Bailey has missed the mark If he
expects the people to Join in his \*n-
bitton.
It would ipay the merchants of any
town to advertise enough to insure
a newspaper that would boost the
town to an extent tint would prove
beneficial.
Huerta is doomed to the trash
pile. Just you wait and see. when
Mr. Wilson finally gets settled on
what he is igoing to do and starts
the initial step.
An alderman o! a small New Jer
sey town refused to continue his race
for the office and his friends were at
a loss to understand until they found
that he had married. He didn’t
want to go to the town council
meetings t-wo nights In the week.
Such devotion will la«t until the elec
tion next year—perhaps.
COME TO THE FAIR.
Next week, to be exact, the 18th,
19th and 20th, the Thomas county
Farmers’ Fair takes place. At that
time the most wouderfui resources
| of the county and the ac tivity and
! progressive spirit Of its citizen* will
j be displayed. These fairs have beeu
annual events that are looked for-
|v»ard to with great interest, both
! l*y the people of Thomasville, where
i there are given and the folks w ho
I l*ve in other towns and in the coun
try. They have become interested
I and they show it.
This year, there will lie unusual
events of interest. Twice on each
day an aviator with many months
J experience w ill fly about the city. He
j will give two flights of about twenty
, min;;tes each and these will be ar
ranged so that everybody may see.
This gentleman is an experienced
flyer and uses a standard lllerlot
monoplane. This will be supple-
, mented by the free attractions of the
Johnny J. Jones Carnival Company,
Ibe peer of all carnivals coming into
tills section of the state.
It will be the biggest fair that has
ever been given here, and it should
' attract people from every section of
the county, especially those who
have never seen an aeroplane. It is
free also, and the airship flights will
be in plain view of all and costs the
spectators absolutely nothing.
The people of Thomasville and
the management of the Fair, hopes
that everybody who can wUl be pres
ent on those days and they promise
a very pleasant three days.
