trial here for the past w'eek, on a
charge* of criminally assaulting Miss
Kate Turner, who was a guest of his
wife, was today found guilty.
The jury received the case lute
yesterday afternoon, and spent nil
of last night debating on the testi
mony introduced during the trial.
The Jury recommended a prison
iitence, which saves Wilson from
the gallows.
Wilson’s lawyers immediately ‘en
tered on appeal for a new trial.
Wilson is a wealthy farmer of
this county.
