Merrillville, March 6.—Well, since
we were heard from last week, the
wedding bells have rang out to a
considerable extent. Last Thursday
evening, Mr. Joe Barnes and Mrs.
Frankie Mae Williamson were hap
pily joined together in matrimony.
Mrs. Williamson is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. F. N. Carter, Mr. Car
ter being one of best farmers and
merchants. Mr. Barnes Is a promi
nent young man of Patten, and holds
a responsible position in Thoraas-
ville at present.
Sunday afternoon, Mr. Horace
Strickland and Miss Alma Dyke
drove over to the home of Rev. H.
B. Nesmith, in Coolidge, and were
made one. The bride is the daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Dyke, and
was a general favorite anions a
large circle of admiring friends. Mr.
Well, we farmers are very glad to
have this beautiful weather. Spring
is going to be late, but we predict a
good crop year.
What will the late cold do for the
boll weevil? Do you not suppose
that it will hinder his progress, or
at least freeze quite a number of
them? Or do late colds effect him?
We pause for an answer.
(Some of our patrons don’t realize
the necessity of sending their chil
dreu to school. Already there have
been eight pupils withdrawn trom
school to work. Does it pay to stop
a boy or girl, under the age of 15
out of school, for the work which
they do. They do from 25 cents to
75 cents worth of work per day, and
the loss from school, under a good
teacher, would be worth from 18 to
$10 per day to the average boy op
girl. Patrons, think of the impor-

Apply It - It Saves Money
You have heard repeatedly about the
goodness of a rule that works both ways.
We know a rule that will’work to the ad=
vantage of the man who buys high-priced made=to=
measure clothes through habit, and also the man who
buys a cheap ready=made suit through not knowing.
Our rule reads: “Buy Stein-Rloch Smah
Clothes” ready to put on. Every advantage of the
high priced, made-to-measure—with a sa/ingof time
and money. Every advantage.'over the cheap ready-
m de, a lot of personal satisfaction and an ultimate
saving of money.
The garments prove the rule. At this store

DR. HERMAN L1EBER IS COMING TO THOMASVILLE
DR. HERMAN LIBBER THE CELEBRATED CHICAGO EYE EXPERT WILL BE AT THE TOSCO HOTEL THOMASVILLE
MONDAY MARCH 8th. TO SATURDAY MARCH 14th.
With a complete line of his famous Perfect Vision Spectacles—the clearest and most perfect spectactles on earth. If your eye
sight is failing do not neglect this great opportunity to have them attended to by this celebrated eye expert. Be sure and con
sult Dr. Lieber and have him fit you up with a pair of his Perfect Vision Spectacles and you’ll be
agreeably surprised to discover that you can read the finest print in your Bible with them on even
by the dim firelight; you’ll find that you can thread the smallest
eyed needle you can lay your hands on, and do the finest kind of
embroidery and crocheting with them on, and do it all night long, if you like, without
any headaches or eye-pains, and with as much ease and comfort as you ever did in
your life. Or, if you like to go out hunting occasionally just shoulder your gun and
go into the woods some bright and early morning and you’ll be greatly delighted to find that his Perfect
Vision Spectacles help you wonderfully in sighting your gun and taking aim at your game. And in the evening when the
shadows are gathering in the dusk, you’ll easly be able to distinguish your friends and neighbors at the greatest dis
tance—-and this even if your eyes are so very weak now that you cannot even read the largest headlines in this paper.
