Meigs. Ga., April 9.—Wc were
sorry to hear of the accidenta 1 kill
ing of Hence Fullford, yesterday
morning, at Lar.-o, Fla., by a *reck
so we learn, on the A. C. L. Railroad.
Mr. Fullford was conductor on a
freight train going north from St.
Petersburg, Fla., and had e wreck
somewhere close to Largo, which
caused his death. From be’t infor
mation obtainable at this writiug, no
one else was hurt. Mr. Fullford was
raised here and everybody knew him.
All who knew him speak in the high
est praise of his many good quali
ties, and were very much shocked at
the news of his death. His body
will reach Meigs some time to-day,
(Thursday.) We hear It will be ac
companied by his wife. To Mr. and
Mrs. G. W. Fulfoord, his father and
mother, we extend our sympathy.
No race suicide in Meigs, judging
from the number of children we see
romping, squealing and playiug on
the school-house green every day at
recess, as we pass by. We should
say—guessing of course—that some
150 of these promising youths of
both sexes are learning the “Queen’s

school house than Meigs, and besides
we have in It as pretty and nice lit

The auditorium is equipped with up-
to-date seats and scenery, which
would remind one of being in a large
city, indeed, when he enters.
Why not. a clean-up day In Meigs,
