priation of twenty thousand dollars
to provide for tho Installation of
electric voting machines In the
House of Representatives, at the
next session of Congress, was pro
posed In a resolution Introduced to
day by Representative Walsh, of
New Jersey.
As a result of a recent conference,
House Leader Underwood estimated
that twenty thousand dollars worth
of time would bo saved each year by
the proposed dovlce. The present
roll call occupies from one-half to
three-quarters of an hour, but the
new (Vtovice Is expected to reduce It
to ten minutes.

Atlanta, May 14.—Two fire horses
that wanted to see the parade climb

The horses were also extricated
uninjured from the smashed wagon.
The fire horses were hauling an en
gine along Buckle street, when the
bakery wagon drove near them. It
was painted bright red like the fire-
engines, and they welcomed It by
