Ochlocknee, Dec. 21.—A Coirmunlty
Christmas Pageant, “When the Star
Shono,” Is being planned jointly by
the Methodist and the Baptist Sunday
Schools, and will be given next Sun
day evening at the auditorium. The
pageant Is expected to be the most
beautiful and spectacular presenta
tion of the Christmas story ever wit
nessed In Ochlocknee. The joint-com
mittee, Mrs. H. P. Stubbs, Mrs. C. I.
Groover and Miss Sadie May Dekle
are sparing no pains or efforts to
make the event a brilliant success,
and It Is considered certain that with
the hard work the players are putting
forth to perfect their various parts,
the entertainment will be highly ap
preciated by the people who attend It.

The background scenery will consist
of a scenic production In full colors
of the city of Bethlehem. The entire
back of the large stage will be trans
formed Into a panoramic view of Beth
lehem and the plains of the shepherds.
It la made from recent photographs
showing landscape, buildings, trees,
etc., ns they appear at the present
time; but little different from what
they were at the time of Chrlit’s ad
vent. The scenery provides fbr all the
needs of a Christmas pageant, and
will give beauty and dignity as well
as reality to its presentation. It will
put the audience In an appreciative
mood in keeping with the occasion.
The story begins with the prophecy
of Isaiah, announcing the coming of
Christ, and the remaining scenes da-
plct the subsequent events until the
birth of the Lard, which marks the
tomlmes, making the program run a
full evening The program will begin
promptly at eight o'clock, (eastern
time), and the public ia cordially In
vited to attend. No admission fee.

had contributed to the $16,000 that

of the Shanghai Y. M. C. A. and to
pay a share of the costs of maintain
ing national Y. M. C. A. work in
China.
