Editor Times-Enterprise:
Dear Sir—I have just received a letter
from my father stating that it was
rumored over Thomasville that I was
dead. For the benefit of my many
friends, kindly state there is no founda
tion for such a rumor, as I am in perfect
health. v .

Thomasville’s crack ameteur baseball
team went up to Camilla yesterday and
returned dragging their colors behind
them.
They were defeated but not disgraced
as the game was one of the prettiest of
the season. The score was four to no- -
thing. The hoys are loud in praise of
the hospitality of the Camilla boys and
say they would like to repeat the trip.
The scene by innings is as follows:

‘•Dear sirs:
(From Sunday’s Daily.)
In l|h e past ’ fi ve ^ys the Atlantic
Coast Line has shipped from, Georgia
482 cars of watermelons. The total
movement this season up to 8 o’clock
yesterday morning, had been 1337 cars,
leaving a shortage of only 104 cars be
hind the same date last year. Five days
ago this shortage amounted to 509 cars.
The lateness of the crop seemed to indi
cate that it would end up very short.
The shortage is continuing to grow
smaller, and it is even possible that the
crop will turn out larger than last year’s.
It is impossible to obtain exact figures
for Thomas county, but the above com
parison for the lines of the A. C. L.
throughout the state are in very near
proportion to what they would be for
