The President on Impeachment. — The Washington corre.-pondent of the Saint Louis Democrat, says, in his dispatch of the 12th instant: ‘-The President, a few days since, eipressi ed himself as follows regarding im peachment.; That charges could not be found against him without perjury; that if impeached he would see what means he had of resistance ; and if he should be finally washed overboard, he would not be the first good man who had met with such a fate.” Clamor Against the Supreme Court . —The lVadicals complain grievously, Says the llichmand Whig, of the re. cent decision of the Supreme Court in the Milligan case, and are looking for. ward with iear and trembling to other more important decisions, relative to the unconstitutionality of the legish' tion of Congress. The Methodist Centenary collection now foots up over §3,800,000, and it is not all yet in. It will undoubtedly reach §4,000,000.
