Radical. Opinion of Renegade Southerners. —'A Washington letter says : The Radicals, in private con versation, do not hesitate to express their contempt for teen of Southern birth who are hanging to their skirts for place and plunder. 1 heat 1 a very prominent ono tho other day affirm, with an oath not quite proper to be re peated to “ears polite,” that he would sooner touch pitch than the hand of Rond, your recreant Judge. Ihe compliment was paid in the way of afi igning reasons for rclusing to be in troduced to the “Judge” upon his re. cent visit here. “It is one of the most offensive necessities of party,’ said the same gentleman, “that men capable of betraying their section, their fellow townsmen, their neighbors, their very flesh and blood, for mere office and its emoluments, should, to advance paitv ends, be permitted to contaminate the society of gentlemen.” The Supreme Court Assailed. —The telegraph announces the success of Mr. RoutwclPs bill for the degradation of the Supreme Court of tho United States, by a strict party vote. The bill provides that no person shall be permitted to act as an attorney or counsellor in any court of tho United States who has been guilty of treason bribery, murder or other felony, or who has been engaged in any rebellion against the Government of tho United States, or who hxs given aid or com fort or encouragement to the enemies of the United States in armed hostility thereto.
